Specialisation:She is an experienced writer, proofreader and copy editor with wide experience in publishing, local government and commerce. As a local government officer she was closely involved with the preparation of contract specifications for the Compulsory Competitive Tendering process, ensuring clear, complete and unambiguous specifications for multi-million pound contracts; with the production of publicity and information material for the local authority’s leisure and tourist facilities; and with the development and control of clear recording systems and quality assurance for direct works and customer care.
Additional Info:She has worked as sub-editor and editorial assistant on a local newspaper and later in magazine publishing, where she honed her skills in proofreading and copyediting, layout and design, and producing promotional copy. She is a director of Lexcentrics Ltd, writing and editing cryptic crosswords and general copy, an also currently undertakes proofreading and copy editing on a freelance basis; as well as developing document control systems for processing and packaging for a major Scottish company.
